Haruyuki Sawada born April 3, 1950 in Tokyo Japan. He began studying Acoustic guitar at age 11. During junior high school , he began studying Flute ,and in high school began studying trumpet seriously. And performed his own Jazz band in Tokyo area. At age 24 he moved to Boston to attend the Berklee College of music. He performed in local jazz bands, funk bands in Boston area. In 1977 he graduated Berklee with Magna Cum Laude and moved to New York. Jamming with many of New York musicians. In the summer of 1979 he became a member of Rhythm and Blues singer Evelyn King. He performed in TV Show Midnight Special and Rock Concert. In 1986 moved to Maui Hawaii and performed with Shiro Mori Band at Blacky's in Lahaina. In 1989 moved back to Tokyo Japan and performed with several Jazz Groups. In 1993 had a valvular disease of the heart. In year of 2000 comeback to music work and composing, performing Trumpet and Fluegel Horn.
